FAQ

Gang sheets

What is a DTF gang sheet?
One sheet of DTF transfer film packed with as many of your designs as fit. It is printed once, then you cut the designs out and heat press them onto garments yourself.
How do I build one?
Open the builder, pick a sheet size, upload your artwork and arrange it on the sheet, then add it to your cart. It all happens in your browser, no design software needed.
How is a gang sheet priced?
Per sheet, not per design, so fill it however you like. The price for each size is shown in the builder when you pick it. All prices are in NZD.
What file types can I upload?
PNG, JPG, SVG and WEBP. You can also pull files straight in from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Canva, iCloud, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Adobe Express.
What resolution does my artwork need to be?
Sheets are printed at 300 DPI, and the minimum image size the builder accepts is 300 × 300px. The builder checks DPI as you place each image and warns you if something is too low to print well.
Can the builder lay the sheet out for me?
Yes. Auto Build packs your designs onto the sheet for you, and the builder checks for overlaps before you check out.
Can I save a sheet and finish it later?
Yes. Use Open Previous to pick up a saved sheet, or open the working sheet you left.
Can I add text to my sheet?
Yes. The builder has an Add Text tool alongside image uploads.
How fast will my gang sheet ship?
Typically dispatched within 1 business day (24hr DTF). Orders placed after 2pm or on a weekend count from the next business day.
How does my gang sheet arrive?
Packed flat or rolled in a protective tube so the film arrives unmarked, sent by tracked courier anywhere in New Zealand.
FAQ

Custom apparel

What garments can I customise?
Tees, singlets and hoodies from AS Colour. Every garment is printed here in New Zealand by a New Zealand-owned business.
How does customising work?
Pick a garment, choose your size and colour, then hit Customise it. The designer opens on the page with the print area marked on the garment.
What can I put on a garment?
Type a word, a name or a number and pick a colour, or upload your own image. You can also choose embroidery.
Can I print on the front and the back?
Yes. Drag your design where you want it, front or back.
Will the print look like the preview?
Yes. The live preview is true to size, so what you see is what gets printed.
How much does it cost?
Each garment has its own base price, plus a print add-on: text +$20, image +$25, or embroidery +$30. Embroidery has a one-off $30 setup, then your design is kept on file. Prices are in NZD.
How big can the print be?
Prints go up to A3 (29.7 × 42cm). Embroidery goes up to about 10cm, on a chest, cap front or sleeve.
How long do printed garments last?
Designs are pressed as hot-peel DTF film at 300 DPI and wash-tested to 50+ cycles.
How long does custom apparel take?
Allow 3 to 5 business days for printing before dispatch, then delivery by tracked courier.
Can I return a custom garment?
Because every garment is made to order, there are no returns for change of mind or wrong size. If something is faulty on our end, email us within 7 days of delivery and we will put it right.

Shopify Tools

What are Mocked Up's Shopify Tools?
Two Shopify apps built from the tools that run Mocked Up: Gang Sheet Builder and Customise It, for print shops selling on their own Shopify store.
What does Gang Sheet Builder do?
It adds a drag-and-drop gang sheet builder to any product on your store. Your customers build their sheet and pay at your checkout.
What do my customers need to upload?
PNG, JPG, SVG or WEBP. They can arrange designs by hand or auto-nest them, with DPI and overlap checks built in.
What do I receive for each order?
Every paid order lands in your Shopify admin as one 300 DPI production file. Download it and send it to your printer.
How is Gang Sheet Builder priced?
No monthly fee. You pay per order.
Do I need a developer to set it up?
No. Install the app, pick the product it lives on, and set your roll width and pricing. It is live on your store in minutes.
What does Customise It do?
It adds a Customise it button under Add to cart, so customers can design on your products right on the product page, with a live preview.
What do I get with each Customise It order?
Every paid order appears on the app's Orders page with a 300 DPI file per view, cropped to the design area and sized to print at 100%.
How is Customise It priced?
Free to install, then billed per customised item or on a flat monthly plan, through your normal Shopify invoice.
How do I get started?
Use Install on Shopify on each app's page, or email contact@mockedup.co.nz and we will help you get set up.
